Just read through this - and yea, I agree with Susan.W saying it didn't make much sense.😜  Maybe the original blinds were a bit closer to the window bay, dunno...

Sry if I've confused a few ppl here.  Yep, originally I was thinking in terms of replacing the sliding door, but help from Admin and others in this thread made me realize that it was the blinds that needed replacing, because yep, they were too close to the window. The new one's work a treat now. :)   Thanks for everyone's help.

Check the fuses for the door opener. Then check that theres nothing preventing the door from opening. Clean the terminals on the door and frame. Make sure that your battery is good.

Check the fuses for the door opener. Then check that theres nothing preventing the door from opening. Clean the terminals on the door and frame. Make sure that your battery is good.
I think the old/new blinds were/are manually operated not electrical.
