NBA 2K23 MT, NBA 2K23 couldn't be more wrong about how good the present Chicago Bulls are.2K has four current Bulls players who are ranked among the top 100 players within the game. DeRozan and LaVine are in the 19th and 23rd spots respectively, while Nikola Vucevic is ranked No. 59. Lonzo Ball comes at the top of the list, ranked No. 73. Somewhat surprisingly, Andre Drummond is rated as Chicago's 5th-best player. He also just barely misses the cut.
After that, the roster's ratings in general are the worst they've ever had. The Bulls backcourt suffers major hits, since Alex Caruso, Coby White and Dosunmu have been all slashed to a point at a time when common sense suggests they'll improve even more next season. Dosunmu's 76-percent overall rating is especially shocking considering the player just won All-Rookie accolades. A fellow second Team guard Josh Giddey posted roughly equal statistics as Dosunmu (and was defeated by Ayo in head-to-head matches) as a starting guard, but scored a significantly higher 82 overall rating.
The rookie Dalen Terry was also assigned a ridiculous 71 overall rating, which puts him below even the likes from former Bulls Matt Thomas, Denzel Valentine, Troy Brown Jr., and Tomas Satoransky. Three of them aren't even currently on an NBA roster and the fourth player is only a minimum "prove they're" contract that will shortly join the others if he doesn't step up with a huge improvement.
I'm not expecting Terry to come out and light things up immediately, but placing Dalen below these players is really ridiculous all things considered.As a whole, 2K has rated the Chicago Bulls in "Tier 2" this means they're not in the top 10 league teams. In a strange way, the Lakers are among those 10 teams that are in Tier 1 despite the mess in their roster design has been over the last two years.
The bottom line is that Chicago's 2K score isn't a factor in how they'll do as a group. It's a bit disappointing to fans who looked forward to playing their top team
